I have knitted something again after a long time. I had problems with my wrist, so I preferred to take a longer break.
After three attempts at a “Ladies Hat” from “The Penguin Knitting Book” – I unravelled everything again and am now knitting more challenging socks.
The top is a pattern that simulates plaits. The shaft is based on a pattern from “japanese Stichbible”.
By the way, the problem with the “Ladys Hat” was that the hat was much too small and I wondered if people simply had much smaller heads in the past? Apart from the fact that the instructions are so short and cryptic that I wonder how anyone could ever understand it. I thought I’d got the hang of it and understood it all, killer logic and all, but no. It just didn’t work the way it was supposed to.
