Here, somehow, nothing worked at all. The model always turned her head from left to right!
next time I’m at the zoo I’ll definitely have to check what kind of animal that was 😀

Here I tried to show two hippos hanging out in the water.
I’m not sure if this penguin was really awake yet, it was still morning. It was sunny and pretty much all the animals in the zoo were hanging out.

Some people say that if you want to learn to draw, you should learn from famous painters and copy or study their pictures. i tried this once in a sketch, but i don’t think you can actually recognise the original picture and this strange hand…
Here sit a couple of chilled-out cloven-hoofed animals.
We were at the zoo last November and this pig was just adorable, unfortunately it moved quite quickly. I have a season ticket to the zoo and will practice more quick sketching again soon. 🙂
This is an old nature study of a cushion. Folds – not so good, maybe I’ll try again soon in a better way.
When I moved to Vienna, one of the things I really wanted to see was the Beethoven Frieze at the Vienna Secession. So I packed my sketchbook and a pen and sat – in front of Corona, of course – down in the basement of the Secession to study the Frieze. In the end, it was just too crowded down there and it was only enough to take a picture of this monkey. The people on site kept talking about a gorilla – but a gorilla looks quite different, doesn’t it? Well, yes. Here is the ape.
