In order to have some variety from the socks, I threw myself into a “leftover wool” project. It will be a 250 cm long blanket. From leftover wool. Which probably won’t be enough. I don’t have that much worsted yarn. But with 2 or 4-ply yarn I would never finish. I’ll keep the blog up to date.

since the topic of “super artfully knitted socks” is dragging on a bit at the moment due to lack of time, here is a kitschy doodle picture that doesn’t make super sense in terms of perspective.

Unfortunately I didn’t have that much time today, but the heel is almost done. Have decided on a short shaft.

I have knitted something again after a long time. I had problems with my wrist, so I preferred to take a longer break.
After three attempts at a “Ladies Hat” from “The Penguin Knitting Book” – I unravelled everything again and am now knitting more challenging socks.
The top is a pattern that simulates plaits. The shaft is based on a pattern from “japanese Stichbible”.
By the way, the problem with the “Ladys Hat” was that the hat was much too small and I wondered if people simply had much smaller heads in the past? Apart from the fact that the instructions are so short and cryptic that I wonder how anyone could ever understand it. I thought I’d got the hang of it and understood it all, killer logic and all, but no. It just didn’t work the way it was supposed to.

Here, somehow, nothing worked at all. The model always turned her head from left to right!
next time I’m at the zoo I’ll definitely have to check what kind of animal that was 😀

Here I tried to show two hippos hanging out in the water.

who doesn’t know that? Feeling misunderstood, somehow not fitting in properly or it doesn’t just feel like everyone is against you? I have that a bit sometimes, age helps a bit but sometimes I also feel like I’ve been transported back in time.
This is a fanart of Dawn Wiener hating her mother at the dinner table 🙂

I’m not sure if this penguin was really awake yet, it was still morning. It was sunny and pretty much all the animals in the zoo were hanging out.
