today:

I’m trying to learn shuttle lace again. I got the tip in the Youtube Academy to try needle lace first. I did that. They said it was easier to switch to shuttle lace afterwards. Hm.
With the shuttle I always have the problem that it looks completely different in the video. By that I mean my knot is “the wrong way round”. I don’t know why. I pass the shuttle under and over the threads as shown. A second problem is the “second rings”. One works, the second does not.

Here in the second picture you can see that I am somehow familiar with the principle, at least with a needle.
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. Shuttle lace is a real asshole today.

It turned out that there should be a kind of fold or two in the middle of the pencil case to avoid the bulge that forms when the pencil case is filled. But filling it already works. I definitely need to improve this. The next question is how to close it. I don’t want to use a zip and the first thought was that press snaps at the corners might be an idea.

just now I had the idea to make a pencil case for my micron markers. Off the top of my head. Just like that. I’m sure it will be great 😉 More info tomorrow.

The parts for the turtle shell multiply. Let’s see what comes out in the end. I’m a little worried about the dents, but good turtle shells take time.

who knows the name?

I’m a little embarrassed by these shades, but I’ll grace you with this “fanart sketch” anyway.
This is supposed to be Bae Doona in Sense8 just doing things on a roof… never mind 🙂
in my defence I would like to say that this is a 10 minute sketch, as I want to post something every day, I am probably a bit stressed some days and then it has to go fast.

Some people say that if you want to learn to draw, you should learn from famous painters and copy or study their pictures. i tried this once in a sketch, but i don’t think you can actually recognise the original picture and this strange hand…

I think the basket is finished now, I don’t want to tear any more t-shirts. This one is now 2.25 without sleeves, size XL.

At the moment I’m tearing and cutting up old t-shirts that don’t want to be worn anymore. I was thinking about making containers for clothes out of old clothes, maybe that’s not the worst idea 🙂

I don’t think the old jersey fabric is necessarily suitable for sewing. So I cut off the seams and by tearing I try to make the longest possible cord which I can then crochet. It’s quite hard on the arms. Let’s see what the final result will look like. I’ll keep you informed, blog. good night
