I think a second one might be worthwhile

finished knitted sock - darkred
No. 1

Hard to believe but the sock is finished after all. I’m not too happy with the toe area because it’s a bit knobbly at the edge. I didn’t slowly tighten up the toes, but directly decreased them by 4 stitches every round, because otherwise the sock would have been too long. But when I wear them, it’s not really noticeable. It’s very comfortable and doesn’t constrict at all. I think a second sock will be worth it. 😀

I can already see the end

I’m running out of yarn for the blanket, so I knitted the sock some more. Another 2 centimetres and I can knit the lace. At least now I’m a bit more motivated to finish it. The biggest “problem” is always to knit the second sock 🙂

brainstorm – box

thinking about boxes

At the moment I’m in the process of coming up with an idea – it’s about not having all this small stuff flying around in the bathroom. Everyone should get their own box. It is still open whether I will seal them with Decopage or other varnish. I’m not sure yet whether this is really necessary. In general, the idea is to make boxes from bookbinding cardboard instead of using plastic solutions. I will keep you posted.

journal sneek

calendar, april - journal sneek
journal calendar

A quick look into April, the print unfortunately didn’t turn out so well but with a bit of colour on top, well it looks weird but whatever 🙂 There are still a few other months. In the end it’s not about how pretty the journal is, it’s not a competition, it’s just that it works.

I thought about this for my journal, but I’m still not sure whether it was really such a good idea. Tomorrow I’ll post what’s become of the template and what’s happened with the print…

blanket madness

Beginning of a blanket

In order to have some variety from the socks, I threw myself into a “leftover wool” project. It will be a 250 cm long blanket. From leftover wool. Which probably won’t be enough. I don’t have that much worsted yarn. But with 2 or 4-ply yarn I would never finish. I’ll keep the blog up to date.
