However, the patterns from my book are not included here. How productive was this woman? And what does she mean by &#8220;knitting a smooth course over it&#8221;. There seems to have been a secret knitting language around 1830. Are there actually archives in Germany or Austria that only deal with this? I hope the internet knows something like that. So many questions and so much internet, it will challenge the recall and precision of my search engine. In any case, the best results come up with &#8220;Gang sricken&#8221;.
